101 Into the Wild explores India’s most iconic animals and the people who protect them.
From Chitta Dorjey, who’s spent two decades tracking the elusive snow leopard to Nazir Malik warden at the Dachigam reserve in Kashmir, 101 Into the Wild remind us of our deeply embedded love for nature, and nature’s unwavering ability to inspire us.
Incredible, rare footage of the elusive 'ghost of the mountains'. The snow leopard is an endangered big cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. India is home to about 500 - 700 of the global snow leopard population. The snow leopard is known as the 'ghosts of the mountains' because of its solitary and elusive nature. Spotters often go months or even years without seeing a single one.
Our intrepid explorer Mohan KK took a walk through the woods in Kerala, travelling into the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary, searching for a reported man-eater in the area. The journey was almost cut short by a raging forest fire that threatened the entire trip.
And saw the critically endangered Kashmir Stag.
